International applicants should apply for admission to the School of Public Health through SOPHAS.
An applicant who has completed all or part of his/her education outside the United States is required to have his/her foreign credentials evaluated by World Education Services. Verification of Financial Support
Applicants who have been accepted and plan to attend Georgia State University on an F-1 or J-1 visa must submit a Financial Statement showing the financial support necessary for the cost associated with the first year of study. This verification does not need to be submitted with your application but will be required before you can enroll if you are accepted.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Applicants whose native language is not English must submit scores, not more than two years old, on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Official scores must be reported from the Educational Testing Service to SOPHAS prior to the application deadline. The TOEFL is not required of international applicants who have received a degree from an accredited U.S. institution. TOEFL information can be found at http://www.toefl.org/. Applicants living in the Atlanta area may take the Georgia State Test of English Proficiency (GSTEP) in the place of the TOEFL. GSTEP information is found here.
